Since 1989, REMEMBER WHEN has been a consignment store for fine home furnishings from the 1920’s through the 1950’s. We sell estate and costume jewelry, fashionable hats, handbags, lamps, mirrors, artwork, crystal, rugs, gold, sterling silver, silverplate, glassware, kitchenware, and other decorative accessories.
REMEMBER WHEN has established a reputation for integrity and customer service. We have the experience to price (Certified by the New England Appraisers Association) and attractively display your items. We might decline anything that would be difficult to sell or that does fit our overall theme. Items should be cleaned and polished, linen and textiles cleaned and pressed and free of rips or stains.
REMEMBER WHEN welcomes any knowledge you may have regarding the age and value of your item so we can price as fairly as possible. We establish prices with your approval. We DO NOT increase the agreed upon price to increase profit. If the price of your item increases for any reason, it is with your knowledge, and you receive 50% of the higher price. We do not discount after 30 or 60 days, but do offer a 20% dealer discount. REMEMBER WHEN charges a $5.00 administration fee for every 5 items consigned. The cost for consigning is 50% (deducted when your item sells), and you receive the other half. Consignments stay at REMEMBER WHEN for 60 days. (Payments are mailed on or before the 15th of the month following the sale of the item).
